About We-Collided

A social network for the people you actually meet.

We-Collided started with a simple idea: the best friendships happen when real life collides. Most social apps fill your feed with strangers and people you'll never meet. We wanted a place built around the people you've actually spent time with: the friend from the gym, the people at your table at a wedding, the neighbor you finally talked to.

How colliding works

Meet up in real life. When you're with someone, open the menu and tap Collide.
Scan each other's code. One of you shows a code and the other scans it. Your phones check that you're really in the same place, so a collide can't be faked from across town.
Watch your worlds collide. You both get the collide animation, and you become "collided friends".

Every time you meet up and collide again, your friendship levels up: Met, Buddies, Crew, Day-Ones and finally Ride or Die. Each collide saves a card with the date and city, and you get a private map of everywhere you've met. Collide in back-to-back weeks to build a streak, and the app reminds you on your collide anniversary.

A page that's really yours

Remember when your profile actually felt like you? On We-Collided you can add a YouTube cover video, a background photo, your own colors, animated themes, floating effects and even click sounds that play when people tap around your page. You edit it live and see every change before you save. Some special themes only unlock after you've collided with enough people, all the way up to Worlds Collide, a living space scene with shooting stars and planets crashing together, for people who've collided with 1,000 others.

Talking with your friends

Collide Events: throw a party or meetup, open the check-in code when people arrive, and everyone who checks in can collide with each other in one tap, chat together and share photos.
Stories: share a photo with your friends that disappears after 24 hours. Friends' stories sit in little spinning worlds at the top of Home, and you can like, dislike or emoji-react to them.
Friends-only messages with photo sharing, emoji reactions, chat themes and daily streaks.

Group collides: meet up with three or more people and get a group chat together.

Easy for everyone

We-Collided works in any phone or computer browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app, with notifications. There's a short how-to video for iPhone and Android, and a Granny view setting that makes all the words and buttons bigger. The whole app also works in Spanish: just pick Español in Settings → Language.

Keeping it safe

Everyone agrees to our Terms & Community Rules before joining.
Members can report posts, comments, messages and profiles with one tap, and a real person reviews every report.
Nudity and sexual content aren't allowed: anyone can report a photo, our team can scan photos for nudity, and anyone can block someone so they can't see or contact them.
One account per person: each phone or computer can only create one account, which keeps fake accounts and spam out.
You can lock your profile so only you can open it, and you can delete your account and its data any time from Settings.
