๐Ÿ’ฅ What Is a Collide? A Beginner's Guide to We-Collided

By the We-Collided team ยท Updated October 2026 ยท 2 min read

We-Collided is a social network for the people you actually meet. Instead of adding strangers, you connect with people when you're together in real life. This guide explains how it works, step by step.

What is a collide?

A collide is how you connect on We-Collided. When you're with someone, one of you opens the menu and taps Collide to show a code, and the other scans it. The app checks that you're really in the same place, so a collide can't be faked from across the country. When it works, both phones play the collide animation and you become collided friends.

Friendship levels

Every time you meet up and collide again (once every few hours), your friendship levels up:

  • ๐ŸŒ Met after your first collide
  • ๐ŸŒŽ Buddies at 3 collides
  • ๐Ÿช Crew at 5
  • ๐Ÿ’ซ Day-Ones at 10
  • ๐ŸŒŒ Ride or Die at 25

Each collide saves a private card with the date and city, and you can add a photo. Only you and the person you collided with can see your cards.

Your page, your way

Your profile can have a YouTube cover video, a background photo, your own colors, animated themes and floating effects, plus your Top 5 friends. It's meant to feel like you, the way profiles used to.

Posts, stories and messages

  • Posts can be public, friends-only or collided-only, with photos, polls and links.
  • Stories disappear after 24 hours.
  • Messages are friends-only, with photos, voice messages, reactions and replies.
  • Plans let you send a what, when and where, and friends tap "Count me in".
  • Group collides and Collide Events bring bigger groups together.

Worldlings

Every time you collide with someone, you both get an egg. The Worldling inside is a little creature that mixes your two worlds, and it evolves each time you two collide again. You can feed it from your daily home stash and duel friends from a chat. It's a playful reminder of the people you've met.

Your world

In My World, your planet shows a moon for every collided friend and rings for your friendship levels. You can view it in 3D or with your phone's camera.

Safety and privacy

  • We-Collided is for adults 18 and over.
  • Only friends can message you, and you can block anyone.
  • You can report any post, message or profile with the ๐Ÿšฉ flag, and a real person reviews every report.
  • Your exact location is never shown to other members.
  • You can lock your profile, download your data and delete your account any time.
